The Auxiliary to the AVMA was the first auxiliary to the healing arts established in the U.S. when it was founded in 1917. Now, 100 years later, the Auxiliary is celebrating the important work it has done to promote veterinary medicine and veterinary students, including helping almost 3,000 students with about $10 million in loans over the years. In this video, Kimberly Topper, a past president of the Auxiliary to the AVMA, talks about what the Auxiliary has meant to her, the activities and events the organization has sponsored, and what she sees for its future.
